DS500 devices cannot be suspended. Sprint no longer allows us to offer this feature.
The DS600 operates on Verizon and they can be suspended for up to 6 months in a 12 month period. Suspended DS600 devices remain in your account and are designated as “Suspended”. You can preserve and access the device history in your account including prior locates but the device will not operate while it is suspended.
The cost is $2.50/month per suspended device and will begin the month following the suspension. There is no re-activation fee when you take your device back to active status. There is no re-activation fee when you take your device back to active status.
Devices that are deactivated are removed from your account and no further service charges apply. When a device is deactivated the Mobile phone ID number in the device is reclaimed by the cellular carrier. When this happens, the device cannot reactivate unless it is reprovisoned.
The DS500 does not support over-the-air provisioning and therefore when it is deactivated it cannot be reactivated
The DS600 does have over-the air- provisioning capability and can be reactivated online at any time. A $20 activation fee applies.
